You know, anti-Louisville sports fans and even some Cards fans unhappy with the state of the basketball program have been known to come on my show and other talk radio shows and message boards saying "Well, I guess Louisville is a football school."
Well, it's not only being said locally/regionally now. It's being said on a national level. Doug Gottlieb, one of my favorite (along with Jay Bilas) and most knowledgable basketball analysts on ESPN, now says Louisville is a football school as well.
Now, I've always thought that the national guys didn't really 'know' as much as the local guys who cover these teams on a day-in, day-out basis. But what matters is that now this is becoming a story nationally. I mean, Gottlieb only wrote about 10 truths about the college season. And for Louisville to be spoken about as one of those 10. Hey, that's a message of how your program is being perceived these days.
Great article overall. Lots of good points.
